Tanjung Sepat is a small town in Kuala Langat district in Selangor, Malaysia. It gets its name from the word Tanjung, which translates to cape in English and Sepat, a type of fish. As a result of Tanjung Sepat being a fishing village. Unfotunately, due to the increase in pollution in Straits of Malacca, fishing is becoming an increasingly unpopular activity, although it is still part of a daily scene there. To explore Tanjung Sepat, only a day trip is needed, as this place lets you slow your pace and lets you enjoy the seaside.
How far is it from KL?About one to one and a half hour drive from the center of KL, and it is easiest to reach by car.
What’s there to do at Tanjung Sepat?Locals tend to visit Tanjung Sepat due to the beautiful scenery of the trees during the low tides.
Although there’s not much to do here, we suggest you do these!
1. Perniagaan Pau Hai Yew Heng
Firstly, for a snack, you can stop by Hai Yew Heng for some famous homemade pau. Hai Yew Heng has been an established pau company for more than 40 years in Tanjung Sepat and is very famous thanks to its traditional homemade Hainanese buns. The quality of these buns has been diligently maintained by the owner. Amongst the three originals and three newly developed fillings, the succulent pork buns and Mui Choy buns are fan favourites.
Now, for a pau option that is slightly smaller than Mr Black, a thinner bun and more filling (however not as many options as Mr Black but still good nonetheless) Hau Yew Heng is the pau place for you.

2. Tanjung Sepat Lovers Bridge
The Lover’s Bridge is about a 5 minute drive from Restoran Ah Hok. Called Lover’s Bridge, due to the fact that couples used to go to this bridge to watch the spectacular sunrise/sunset that you can see from here point.
Unfortunately, this loved bridge was torn down in 2013 due to the collapse. However, there a few other scenic bridges to go to instead of the Lover’s Bridge. In the case that you’d want to take some pictures of the bridge that looks like it stretches out to the sea.

3. Ganofarm Homestay
Fortunately for people that want to have an overnight stay in Tanjung Sepat, the Ganofarm Homestay is a 2-in-1 experience for them. Not only is it a place for people to stay, but it’s also a place that houses an important Malaysian based mushroom research company that cultivates, develops, manufactures markets fresh mushrooms and mushroom based products. From Ling Zhi Mushrooms, Black Jelly Mushrooms, Abalone Mushrooms, Monkey Head Mushrooms, you name it, they most likely have it!
Here, you can visit the mushroom farm that is just 5 minutes away from the homestay and you can see how they manufacture the mushrooms, as well as grow it. In addition to that, you can purchase their products at the store!

4. Kuan Wellness Eco Park
The Kuan Wellness Eco Park is strategically located in between the Sepang Goldcoats and the Morib Gold Coast. Currently, it’s set to become a popular eco-tourism destination in Malaysia.
It consists of 5 acres of land where you can visit the eco farm. This consists of the mini zoo that has various birds, animals, reptiles and fish. Not to mention, 3½ storey swiftlet house that visitors can enter and learn about types of birds’ nests, bird house management, swiflet habitat, etc and finally, a visitor centre that is surrounded by palm oil plantations and tropical fruit farms.

5. Mr Black
Mr Black is the competing pau shop in Tanjung Sepat. Some say that Mr Black makes better pau than Hai Yew Heng, but that’s up to the person eating to decide. Since they both have their own strengths and weaknesses. For instance, if you’re looking to eat pau that has a thicker bun, denser texture, more filling options and slightly cheaper options, Mr Black is the option for you! However, the best pau between these two pau shops are up to the person’s preferences after all!

6. Multi-Rich Pitaya Dragon Fruit Farm
Although this isn’t in Tanjung Sepat, it’s still a great place to visit since you can pass it on your way out. You could quench your thirst with the with sweet dragon fruit or you could munch down on some dragon fruit popsicles!
