Hidden Gems In Malaysia; A literal Gem Island, Terengganu.

Aren’t you tired of being in the city? Are you trying to find your way out, even just for the weekend? Look no further, Byloka has you covered.

Gem Island is your ultimate private island getaway with a “one island one resort” set up. It is one of the few privately owned islands in Malaysia built with its superb natural beauty still intact. It is located in a Marine Conservation Park with crystal clear waters, a spectacular underwater seascape of corals and marine life as some of its natural wonders. Built along the ridges of the coastline and maintaining its lush greenery, it is a superb getaway for a relaxed holiday.

soothing… isn’t it?

With its convenient location, Gem Island can be reached by a scenic drive along the East coast road or a swift flight, either by Air Asia, Malaysia Airlines, Firefly or Malindo Air to Kuala Terengganu (TGG) -From the airport, a 30 – 40 minutes drive by road to Marang Jetty and then a 15 minutes boat ride to the private island resort.

Snorkeling can be done even without taking the boat out. There are many things to see near the shore – corals of different shapes, colors and sizes, sea urchins, swordfishes, butterflyfishes, parrotfishes, bumphead fishes, crabs, clams and lots of sea cucumbers. f you have no patience for pottering around, visit the baby greenback turtles by the jetty. One of the beaches on Gem Island is used as a turtle hatchery.

The sky blue water indicates the cleanliness of the place, and also compliments the green hills around the island.

If you’re looking for a getaway to an island where you are their priority, then we advice you to come to Gem Island and immerse yourself in the fun.
